Gabriela
Gabriela Lopetegui is a versatile actress, voice over talent and dubbing director (Spanish/English) living in Los Angeles, California. She was born in Montevideo, Uruguay.
ACTRESS: She just finished filming Indie Darling, a short written and directed by Julianna Schley.
She was the lively and cheerful “Rosa” in Crossroads Café, on KCET/PBS.
VOICE OVER: She recorded several commercials for Bank of America, McDonald's, Western Union, Albertson's, and Walmart, to name just a few brands.
DUBBING DIRECTOR: She is currently one of the dubbing directors for such legendary shows as COPS and the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.
DUBBING ACTRESS: She was the voice in Spanish of Sarah Michelle Gellar in the first season of Wolfpack and Andrea Savage in the first season of Tulsa King (both from Paramount), and had several guest stars roles in the first season of Peacock's Poker Face ( Chloë Sevigny in Ep.4, Ellen Barkin in Ep.6, and Cherry Jones in Ep.8).
EDUCATION:
The Groundlings – Improv Theater & Comedy School 's graduate, and studied stand-up with Greg Dean, performing at The Comedy Store and The HaHa Comedy Club. Stella Adler School at Universal Studios.
Dance: Her career in Uruguay began as a ballet and jazz dancer, teacher, and choreographer.
Carnival: In the Uruguayan Carnival, she was the first female member of parodists Los Klaper's ( up until then, parodists was a carnival category traditionally reserved only for men) and in the 1990 Carnival she became one of the founding members of Humoristas Los Buby's.
Theater:She joined Café Teatro, a theater company, winning the Best Supporting Actress award with the first play in which she participated, and continued with an extensive repertoire of plays.
Television:Gabriela's last project in Uruguay before moving to Los Angeles was the children's tv show Requetedivertidos, aired on Channel 4, which she co hosted with actor and script writer Horacio Rubino. They won three Gold Records and three Platinum Records for the children's songs included in the show. (Gabriela has a soprano range).
